Review

Inspired by template from Feather's dollhouse. This section is about my personal experience with a particular doll, my feelings on it, and my story with it, rather than a formal review.

why i got her & what i do with her: i got very interested in these series when i saw promo posts of them but i had a hard time deciding which doll i want. Luna was definitely one of those who caught my attention immediately -- i like goth dolls, i like demon girls, i like cat girls, and she reminds me of sparkle from honkai star rail and candy apple cookie from cookie run both of which are ones of my most favorite characters ever.

articulation, posing, & stringing: these series have wired legs. the articulation and stringing are good, the dolls stand on their own with no problem. their heads are easy to take off and put on, the hook is small so you don't have to remove the face plate to remove the head.

face, hair, & how they fit: the hair pieces fit very well on the head, they aren't tight at all and aren't constantly trying to fall off like it happens with some blind box dolls. you can notice the part where the hair is attached to the head under their (human) ears, but other than that, it's not noticeable at all. despite these dolls having cat ears, they don't have magnets inserted in their heads at production stage -- they come with magnets and clay so you insert the magnets on your own and seal them in the wigs with clay. i can imagine this is providing more opportunities for customization but i really didn't enjoy this. trying to insert the magnets is tedious and difficult because they are very small and are magnetizing to each other, and i wouldn't be able to properly attach the clay if i didn't have a modeling tools kit.

clothes & accessories: i enjoy the outfits of these series a lot -- the fabric has a lot of different textures, and it feels like a lot of thought was put into replicating the character designs in real life; the fabric is nice quality, though the sewing has some flaws. the little accessories are prone to falling off, for example, the stars on her collar are holding in place on the power of pure hope. the cat tails of these series are also very puffy and soft. the garter on her thigh is made out of a band so it's easy to put on.

staining: the bottom of her dress has white layer underneath that protects her body from the black fabric, but the top of her dress directly touches the body, as well as the black sleeves. i didn't want to risk it, so i gave her an anti-stain suit before putting her outfit on.

current condition: she's wearing an anti-stain suit from meki series. i admittedly don't like her original ears too much so i haven't inserted the magnets in her head, and her tail is currently won by eurydice.

other notes: i received a basic package (without any bonuses), and in comparison to other blind box dolls, the basic contents of the package appear very scarce. aside from the dolls and the outfits that you seen on their concept art, the package included 2 sets of changeable hands (only two?!), magnets and clay, underwear made out of stretchy fabric, a character card, & a brochure thar describes the contents of the package and provides tutorials on how to take off the head, how to replace hands, and how to attach the magnets. also, i really like that these dolls have hands bigger than usual -- this makes their proportions very cute.
